Ceiling air-conditioning cabinets live above the false ceiling, so the fan inside has to stay compact and quiet; the ZQ is that fan. Its forward-curved multi-blade wheel, 7 to 15 inches across, moves 300-13,000 m3/h at pressures up to 800 Pa. Forward-curved blades push a lot of air at relatively low speed, which helps keep sound down in a space occupied directly below the plenum. The EC motor is built into the wheel assembly, and the unit mounts into the cabinet rather than a duct chase.
What the forward-curved wheel gives you
Compared with a backward-curved wheel of the same capacity, the forward multi-blade design fits a smaller housing - useful when ceiling void depth and width are tight. Control is VSP/PWM/485, which lines up naturally with VAV damper actuators and zone controllers: each zone's fan adjusts to room temperature and occupancy instead of blowing a fixed volume everywhere. Motor output covers 250W-4000W, insulation grade F, working temperature -25 C-45 C.
Where it's used
Ceiling AC cabinets and VAV air-conditioning systems are the target, in offices, retail floors, hotels and meeting rooms. For VAV layouts, confirm the controller signal type matches the 485 or PWM interface before ordering; the casing and mounting bracket should be checked against the cabinet section as well.
