Two motors can go inside this housing - that is what sets the ZQL2 apart from a single-motor centrifugal fan. Buyers can take an EC motor version or a conventional AC motor version for the same forward multi-blade wheel, which means one product family can cover both new energy-focused installations and cost-sensitive replacements. What you decide between EC and AC
The EC option comes with the motor and controller integrated, demand-based speed changes through VSP and 485, and no separate VFD cabinet. The AC option keeps the proven induction motor that mechanics already know how to service; it suits projects where smart control is optional and the purchase price matters most. Either way the wheel is the same forward-curved multi-blade design, suited to ceiling cabinets and VAV air-conditioning systems. Insulation grade F, working temperature -25 C-45 C.
