What hospital air systems ask of a fan
Hospital air has to hold pressure relationships so contaminated air cannot drift into clean zones, and it has to stay quiet enough for patients and staff. The fans run long hours, and servicing one inside a working ward is awkward at best.
Direct drive, low noise, less maintenance
Our EC plug fans are direct drive. No belt means no squeal, no tensioning, and fewer reasons to open the unit. The permanent-magnet EC motor and its built-in controller change speed smoothly instead of cycling on and off, which keeps both noise and vibration down.
Holding pressure in sensitive rooms
Operating rooms, ICUs, and isolation wards each keep a set pressure relationship. The fans respond to 0-10V or Modbus signals and adjust speed to hold that pressure while doors open and filters load. That steady directional airflow is what the infection-control design relies on.
Matching a fan to each department
Smaller AHUs in clinics and labs usually use the YUWB, with impellers from 250 to 400 mm. Larger central units step up to the YUWE. When the fan has to stand in a cabinet rather than mount inside an AHU, the CBPF-E puts the same EC drive in an insulated, quiet box.
Factory support for medical projects
Because we make the fans and motors ourselves, we can adjust airflow, control signals, and cabinet layout to the project drawings. We support OEM branding for HVAC contractors and AHU builders. Tell us the room type and the ventilation code you are working to, and we will help select the unit.
Control System and PLC Connection
In a hospital BMS, the PLC or room controller sets fan speed alongside dampers and pressure sensors. The integrated driver takes that signal without an external VFD.

0-10V analog |
VSP, GND |
PLC analog output; 0V = minimum speed, 10V = full speed |

PWM |
PWM, GND |
PLC pulse output; 0-100% duty cycle sets speed |

Modbus RTU / RS485 |
RSA+, RSB- |
PLC or HMI as Modbus master; reads status and alarms, writes speed |
All three options can be wired from the same PLC cabinet. 0-10V is the simplest wiring for a single speed command; Modbus RTU is chosen when the PLC or BMS needs two-way data, run status and fault feedback.

FAQ
How quiet are these fans?
Direct drive removes belt noise, and the EC motor ramps instead of cutting in at full speed. Actual sound levels depend on the operating point and cabinet insulation; we can provide sound data for the selected model at your duty point.
Will they work in negative-pressure isolation rooms?
Yes. With speed control and pressure feedback, the fan holds the room's negative pressure as conditions change, which is the core requirement for isolation wards.
How often do they need servicing?
There are no belts or pulleys to replace. Maintenance is mostly visual checks and keeping the intake and filter clean, which suits areas that are hard to take offline.
