A compact direct-drive box
The SYF is the smallest fan in this group: single inlet, direct drive, wheel diameters 3 to 8 inches, airflow 2,000 m3/h against 0 to 200 Pa. It is meant for light central air-conditioning sections and small air handling units where a big blower would be overkill. The single side inlet keeps the housing narrow enough to fit inside compact equipment.

What direct drive removes
Direct drive means the wheel connects to the motor shaft with no belt, pulleys or tensioner. There are no belts to inspect or replace, no pulley ratio to choose, and one fewer wearing part on the drive side. That suits a small, low-pressure unit where the designer wants a simple package rather than a tuneable belt arrangement. The trade-off: speed follows the motor, so this is a fixed-speed fan for a modest pressure job rather than a multi-point adjustable machine. Simplicity also means fewer spare parts to stock for a small contractor, and the unit mounts level on a plain support frame without a tensioning rail. Midi Industrial built the SYF for central air-conditioning boxes and terminal units that need a compact, low-maintenance blower rather than high capacity.

Where it shows up
Compact central air-conditioning units, small air handling cabinets and fresh-air terminals in shops, offices, residential spaces and light industrial rooms. For local climate control and light ventilation at low static pressure, check the wheel size against the 2,000 m3/h capacity and the 200 Pa pressure ceiling before ordering.
