With air entering only one side, the overall casing is shallower than a double-inlet fan of similar duty, which can save space inside an AHU or a rooftop unit section. The forward multi-blade wheel stays aimed at volume over pressure - supply and return air duties at low to medium resistance. The belt drive lets speed be matched through pulley ratios, and the motor stays clear of the airstream. Service means checking belt tension and replacing worn belts when needed; the motor and pulleys remain accessible from the side of the unit.
