Up to 240,000 m3/h and 3,000 Pa - those numbers put the SYQ in a different league from a forward-curved supply fan. It is a double-inlet backward single-plate centrifugal fan, belt driven, built for central air-conditioning systems where coils, filters and long duct runs push resistance up the pressure curve. The flat backward-inclined plate wheel is the efficient choice once static pressure matters; it moves big airflow without the volume-first blade shape that forward curves favor.

Backward single-plate, why that wheel
Backward inclined blades hold up better at higher pressure and generally run closer to the efficient part of the curve than a forward wheel under the same duty. The single-plate construction keeps the impeller straightforward to build and balance. With two inlets, air enters from both sides and the wheel can be sized large without an over-deep casing. Belt drive again gives the install team a way to set the right speed through the pulley ratio, and the motor remains outside the airstream on its own frame. Belt tension and belt condition are checked at service time; the motor itself is easy to access because it sits apart from the wheel compartment.

Before you order
Use the SYQ for central air-conditioning stations and high-resistance air handling units in large commercial and industrial buildings. Before fixing a size, note both airflow and static pressure - the backward wheel rewards duties that sit above the low-pressure forward-curved range. Midi Industrial offers this series to HVAC fan manufacturers and contractors who need a large, belt-driven high-pressure blower for central ventilation.
